Using the Reputation Dashboard to Track Undeliverability and Complaint Rates

The Reputation Dashboard contains the same information that is displayed to the Amazon SES team when reviewing the health of individual accounts.

To view the Reputation Dashboard:

  1. Log in to the AWS Management Console and open the Amazon SES console at https://console.aws.amazon.com/ses.
  • In the navigation panel on the left side of the screen, select Reputation Dashboard.
    The dashboard displays the following information:
    • Account status - a brief description of the state of your account. Possible values are:
      • Healthy - There are currently no issues affecting your account.
      • Under review - Your account is under review. If the issues that caused us to set a review for your account are not resolved by the end of the review period, we may suspend your account's ability to send an email.
      • Pending end of review decision - Your account is under review. Due to the nature of the issues that led to the determination of a review for your account, we must first conduct a manual review of your account before taking further action.
      • Sending paused - We have paused your account's ability to send an email. While your account's ability to send email is paused, you will not be able to send email using Amazon SES. You can request that we review this decision. For more information about requesting a review, see Amazon SES Sending Review Process - Frequently Asked Questions.
      • Pending sending pause - Your account is under review. The issues that caused us to set a review for your account have not been resolved. In this case, we usually pause your account's ability to send an email. Due to the nature of your account, we must first review your account before any further action is taken.
    • Bounce Rate - The percentage of emails sent from your account that were persistently undeliverable.
    • Complaint Rate - The percentage of emails sent from your account that were reported as spam by recipients.

Note
The Bounce Rate and Complaint Rate sections also contain status messages for each metric. The following list shows status messages that may be displayed for these metrics:
  • Healthy - The metric is in the normal range.
  • Almost healed - An audit has been set for your account based on the metric. Since the start of the review period, the metric has remained below the maximum rate. If the metric remains below the maximum rate, the status of this metric will change to Healthy before the end of the review period.
  • Under review - Based on the metric, a review has been set for your account and it remains above the maximum rate. If the issue that caused the metric to exceed the maximum rate has not been resolved by the end of the review period, we may pause your account's ability to send an email.
  • Sending pause - Due to the metric, we have paused your account's ability to send an email. While your account's ability to send email is paused, you will not be able to send email using Amazon SES. You can request that we review this decision.   • Pending sending pause - Based on the metric, we have set a review for your account. The issues that caused this review period have not been resolved. These issues may cause us to pause the account's ability to send an email. A member of the Amazon SES team will need to review your account before we take further action.
  • Other Notifications - If your account is experiencing reliability issues, but not related to undeliverable messages or complaints, a brief message will appear here. For more information about the notifications that can be displayed in this area, see Reputation Dashboard Messages.
Note
The Reputation Dashboard is available to all users who have access to the AWS Console. You cannot restrict access to the Reputation Dashboard using IAM policies.
