Disabling the Suppression List at the Account Level

You can use the putAccountSuppressionAttributes operation in Amazon SES API v2 to effectively disable the account-level suppression list by removing the values from the suppressed-reasons attribute.

Note

The following procedure assumes that you have already installed the AWS CLI. For more information on installing and configuring the AWS CLI, see AWS Command Line Interface User Guide.

  • Enter the following command at the command line:
aws sesv2 put-account-suppression-attributes --suppressed-reasons

 

1. Logging in to the Amazon WorkMail Web Client
Amazon WorkMail includes a web-based client that you use to access your Amazon WorkMail account through a web browser. The web client includes built-in applications such as email, calendar, and contacts. To use the web application, you need an Internet broadband connection and the latest version of one of the following web browsers:

a. Google Chrom

b. Mozilla Firefox

c. Safari

d. Microsoft Edge
The Amazon WorkMail system administrator will provide you with the username and password for the initial login. If you forget or need to recover a password, contact your administrator. The administrator also provides a unique Amazon WorkMail web client URL. This URL contains a unique alias set up by the Amazon WorkMail website administrator. The web client URL looks like this:
https://alias.awsapps.com/mail.

i. To log in to the Amazon WorkMail web client:
1. In your web browser, enter the web client URL provided by the Amazon WorkMail administrator. For Example, https://alias.awsapps.com/mail.

2. If you are logged in to blackbit WorkMail, you can also simply click on the "Webapp" column link on your WorkMail organization page https://workmail.blackbit.io/organizations instead.

3. In the Username field, enter the username provided by your Amazon WorkMail administrator. Please do not enter your full email address and please note that usernames are case sensitive. In the Password field, enter the password. Click Sign In to log in.


2. Setting up Microsoft Outlook Clients for Amazon WorkMail

To get familiar with Microsoft Outlook, connect Microsoft Outlook to your Amazon WorkMail account.

Amazon WorkMail uses AutoDiscover to configure your Outlook client. To set up the Outlook client, you will need your Amazon WorkMail email address and password. Amazon WorkMail integrates with the following Outlook versions:

  • Office Outlook 2007, Outlook 2010, Outlook 2013, Outlook 2016, and Outlook 2019.
  • Outlook for Mac 2011, Outlook 2016 for Mac, and Outlook 2019 for Mac.

3. Setting up the Windows 10 Mail app

If you use the Mail app on Windows 10, you can add it to your Amazon WorkMail account.

To link the Amazon WorkMail account to the Mail app.

  1. On Windows 10, open Mail and select Accounts.
  2. Select Add Account, Advanced Setup.
  3. Select Exchange ActiveSync and provide the following information:

    Required Information Description
    E-mail adress Your email address is associated with your Amazon WorkMail account.
    Password Your password
    Username Your email address is associated with your Amazon WorkMail account.
    Create area  Endpoint for the AWS region where your mailbox is located:
    • us-west-2mobile.mail.us-west-2.awsapps.com
    • us-east-1mobile.mail.us-east-1.awsapps.co
    • eu-west-1mobile.mail.eu-west-1.awsapps.com

      Note: If you do not know which AWS region your mailbox is located in, contact your system administrator.
    Server requires encrypted (SSL) connection Enabled
    Account name Your account name

 4. Click Sign in.
